Initial Assessment

(In-person for Hampton Roads, VA)

$150 + Travel for a session duration of up to 90 min.

*A Travel fee is charged according to the current IRS rate

In-depth interview with family about cat's/cats' behavior + my professional feedback about immediate actions to be taken. Subsequent sessions may be recommended.

Identifying the Root Cause

By conducting an in-home (or virtual) assessment of the cat's environment and daily routine, I can offer insight as to what may be causing him to act in undesirable ways.

*For inappropriate peeing/pooping, a medical evaluation by your cat's veterinarian must be completed before beginning a behavior assessment.

Making a Plan for Change

Two decades of experience using positive reinforcement and *fear-free training provide the foundations of my coaching. After identifying the root cause/source of the cat's behavior, I will guide you in not only how to have a more nurturing coexistence with your cat, but also how to amend his environment to become more cat-positive. This is often the key to ending most (if not all) bad behaviors.

Building YOUR Confidence

When my first cat, Muki, was diagnosed with a heart condition, all-of-a-sudden, his life depended on medication. I had never given a cat pills before. I was terrified that I would fail, and that Muki would suffer. Nobody offered to help, and everyone at the vet clinic was too busy, anyway, to take the time that would have been required. Videos were little help, and I literally spent the first week in tears as we struggled together with the new routine.

No pet owner should have to experience that fear and anxiety...knowing your pet needs medical attention is stressful enough.

Through that experience (and many others that would come in my years at the animal shelter), I learned a lot of tricks that I want to share with you! I can provide training for low-no stress medication administration of oral, ocular (eyes) and aural (ears) medications. I am also adept at administering Insulin injections.
